Hegenscheidt Mobiturn 3 Mobile Wheel Lathe
The Hegenscheidt Mobiturn® 3 Mobile Wheel Lathe is a versatile wheel set machining system for the reprofiling of railway wheels, wheel sets, and brake discs on rail vehicles in both the installed and detrucked states.
It’s the world’s first and only wheel set maintenance machine that travels to the rail vehicle. The Mobiturn 3 is transported by rail within the railway maintenance facility or even by truck to other facilities. The system positions itself under its own power beneath a lifted rail vehicle or bogie to perform maintenance operations.
Utilizing service proven Hegenscheidt wheel lathe technology, the precision CNC lathe extends wheel set component livelihood while safely and efficiently reprofiling the wheel profile.
The patented Mobiturn system is now in its 3rd generation and has been extensively revised in both design and appearance. It combines state of the art technology with modern design.
