Simmons To Build Automated Railway Axle Roughing Line For AXIS LLC

First New Axle Forging Facility Built In USA In More Than 40 Years

Simmons Machine Tool Corporation in Albany, New York, a member of the NSH Group, was recently awarded a contract by AXIS LLC to supply a fully automated railway axle roughing line to be located in Paragould, Arkansas. The NSH Group will provide a complete turnkey solution consisting of machine tools, marking, inspection, and automation/handling equipment. All machines will be state-of-the-art computer controlled equipment, making the line one of the most sophisticated and automated lines in the world.
