Design Finalized for New Assembly Building

NSH USA Corporation is moving forward with local permitting, design, and construction of a new manufacturing assembly building next to the company’s headquarters and manufacturing facility in the Village of Menands near Albany, New York. The facility will be 18,000 square feet and feature a 40-ton capacity overhead crane.

After purchasing the 47 Broadway property, demolition was finalized in 2023. Groundbreaking for the new campus expansion project is tentatively scheduled for early 2025.

NSH USA President & COO David William Davis: “Record orders for our core railway machine tool and automation products as well as strategic contracts with aerospace and defense clients in North America are fueling the need for the expansion. None of this would be possible without the investment our company has made over the last 16 years with Hudson Valley Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing and Mechatronics programs. Our new assembly building is an investment in NSH USA and our future, but also an investment in the future of manufacturing in New York’s Capital Region and the talented people that drive the area’s manufacturing renaissance.”

NSH USA has remained committed to Menands as a business location since the 1920s and was established in 1910 as Simmons Machine Tool Corporation in Albany, New York.

NSH USA Corporation manufactures specialized and multifunction precision machine tools and automation systems for railway, automotive, aerospace, and other industrial manufacturers worldwide. NSH USA is a member of the NSH Group (Niles-Simmons-Hegenscheidt), an international leader in machine tool technology.
